Read the selections below from your classmates' writing about their names.  Write 3-5 sentences about what you notice or what stands out to you.

-My name is a flower.
-In the English dictionary, my name means mountain.  I like that meaning because I try to live my life like a mountain, setting my goals at the very top and then trying to climb farther and farther up until I reach my full potential.
-I don't like my name because too many people have it.
-My name sounds sweet and nice which I'm not.
-My name means tiny and kind which kinda does describe me.
-When boys ask me my name, they think it's cute.
-I like my name because my mom gave it to me and I would never change it.
-My name sounds unique just like me it describe who I am and it makes me who I am.
-Some girls like my name, they think it its cute.  That makes me more confident, more willing to go to a girl and say, “Hi my name is . . . “
-I think my name is too plain, I want an awesome name like Nero, or Azure, or like Zephyrus or something.  Now those are cool.
-My name is from the Bible.
-My name was given to me from my mother.
-My name is beautiful just like me.
-My name is very common given to me by my mother.  She say that she founded it out of an old book that she was reading and said that she would name her son that if she had another boy.
-I wish I had a different name.  A name no one has.  Something that I can make up.
-I don't really care about what my name is.  I don't hate it and I don't love it.
-I like it because for one it's a very unique name.  two because of what stands behind it such as rep, family, swag, and friends.
-My dad gave me my name because he wanted me to be a junior. 
-People think my name is a seasoning but I think its from Africa.
